What opacity should I use?
Somewhere between 15 and 25 percent is the usual balance — clearly visible on screen and in print, while the text underneath stays comfortable to read. Go higher only when the point is to discourage use of the document rather than simply label it.
Can I watermark in Urdu or Arabic?
Not yet. The watermark is drawn with the built-in PDF fonts, which only cover Latin characters, digits and common punctuation. Other scripts will not appear.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is drawn into the page content rather than attached as an annotation, so it will not peel off in a normal reader. It is a marking, not a security measure — anyone with the right software can edit any PDF.
Does it cover up my text?
It sits on top, so at a low opacity everything underneath stays readable, selectable and searchable.
